Here are my top recommendations for the best rooftop bars in downtown St. Pete! These are perfect for happy hours, sunset drinks, or to start a night out in St. Pete.

Pier Teaki

📍 Located at: 800 2nd Ave NE 5th Floor, St. Petersburg, FL 33701

Pier Teaki is the rooftop bar on the St Pete Pier, and it’s worth checking out for the unique atmosphere and incredible views.

As the name suggests, Pier Teaki is a tropical-themed oasis. It’s the perfect place to sip on a Rum Runner or another tropical cocktail.

One of the highlights of this rooftop bar is the panoramic views. On one side, you’ll have some of the best views of the St. Pete skyline while the other side has stunning views over Tampa Bay.

In my experience, Pier Teaki can be quite popular and is one of the busiest rooftop bars (especially on the weekends). However, you can order a drink from the bar and wander around to enjoy the views.

I highly recommend going here at sunset – that way you get some views during the daylight while also getting sunset & night views of the St. Pete skyline. Just keep in mind that after 8pm only those 21+ are allowed.

Since Pier Teaki is located at the end of St Pete Pier, you either have to walk there (about 10 minutes from Bayshore Dr) or you can hop on the free trolley that runs on the pier.

Birchwood Canopy

📍 Located at: 340 Beach Dr. NE, St. Petersburg, FL 33701

Birchwood Canopy is one of my favorite rooftop bars because it has gorgeous views of the bay and the St. Pete Pier. Plus they have some tasty drink options!

The menu offers a selection of wine, beer, frozen drinks, & handcrafted cocktails. They also have some delicious apps & light bites. If you’re looking for a fantastic dinner option, you can also check out their restaurant downstairs called Birch & Vine.

Make sure to check out their happy hour for drink specials! Also, if you’re having an event they have a canopy area that can be rented out. It’s a perfect rooftop venue in St. Pete for engagement parties, birthdays, bridal showers, etc.

Cane & Barrel

📍 Located at: 110 2nd St N, St. Petersburg, FL 33701

Cane & Barrel is a stunning rooftop restaurant in St. Pete. Located on the top of the AC Hotel, it features both an interior and outdoor rooftop bar & restaurant, with colorful Cuban-inspired décor.

On certain nights, there is live music which adds a touch of that Havana energy to this unique St. Pete restaurant.

On the menu, you’ll find a variety of cocktails, beer, and wine, but their specialty is of course anything with rum.

If you are looking for brunch in Tampa Bay this is also a fantastic choice as they have a dedicated boozy brunch menu on Saturdays & Sundays from 10:30 am-3 pm.

Sparrow

Sparrow is a newer edition to the bars in downtown St. Pete and can be found on top of the Moxy Hotel. Its location on Central Avenue makes it the perfect place to start for a night out in downtown St. Pete.

This rooftop bar features a classy, urban vibe with signature cocktails and an Asian-inspired food menu. It’s the perfect place to dress up for a date night in St. Pete and enjoy the city views!

The Landing

If you are looking for more of a party vibe bar in downtown St Pete, The Landing is where you’ll want to go. Located next to the Jannus Live Music Venue, this is a lively and fun place to grab a drink or two.

Unlike the other rooftop bars on this list, there aren’t views from this bar as it is only on the 2nd floor. However, it is a really fun place to check out especially if you are enjoying a night out in downtown St. Petersburg.

Level 11 is located on the top of Bellwether Resort in St. Pete Beach, about a 20-25 minute drive from downtown St. Pete. However, if you are open to going to St. Pete Beach, this is a must-visit spot as it features stunning ocean views.

In addition to the great rooftop views, Level 11 offers several different events – including happy hours, live DJs, and even full moon parties.

If you are looking for a rooftop restaurant in St Pete you should check out Spinners, a rotating restaurant located on floor 12 (just above Level 11 bar). The unique rotating concept provides you with 360-degree views of the ocean and surrounding beach areas while you enjoy dinner.

Azura Rooftop
